And finally

Just totted up the contributions collected in person and from the JustGiving website and I've reached my second goal for this trip. Over £2500 raised for the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed.

Adding Snap Shots

I added a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, Amazon products and lots of other stuff! Sometimes Snap Shots can bring you the information you need without leaving this blog, and other times it lets you "look ahead" before deciding if you want to follow a link or not. If you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.

In the end these got really irritating, so I've removed them!!!

John, I am absolutely overwhelmed by your tremendous achievement - huge congratulations. I know you said how little time you'd had to train for the tour and why but reading a day by day account really brought home what a challenge this really was for you and how you completely embraced it and really worked hard by focussing on your goal. I can't wait for your book - I know it will be an inspiration. Well done again.

Andi - thanks for your feedback. And many thanks for your support on the tour. I would have certainly struggled without the support and encouragement of everyone on the trip.

John. I have finally had time to read your blog and it is excellent. I think it is a great account of the 'ups and downs' (literally) of the trip.
I would point out however, that I think it was me you passed at the top of Rest and be Thankful, as I rested and was thankful more often than others!!

Well done

Kind regards

Gareth
